We have some exciting news we wanted to share with you. Today Pango is becoming part of Aura, a digital security company that, like Pango, is on a mission to make security and privacy simple and accessible to everyone.
Two years ago, we set out to help solve a major problem for people – how to keep you and your devices safe against all the threats that exist online. Part of my work focused on investing in companies that were already doing impactful work in the consumer privacy and security space. Aura and Pango (then AnchorFree) were two companies I put time, energy and resources into to help further their efforts. In fact, WndrCo made significant investments in both Aura and Pango because they shared the same goals of simplifying security and privacy for everyone.
Aura already provides financial and identity theft protection coverage through their product Identity Guard. Last year, we launched a subscription of trusted products that takes the guesswork out of consumer security and privacy for everyone. Aura’s Identity Guard along with the “World’s Fastest VPN” and our spam call blocker Robo Shield are all part of the Pango subscription but we were not yet part of the same company.
Over the past year we learned that to truly simplify security and privacy for people, we had to become one company. With Pango becoming a part of Aura, we will now have the best suite of privacy and security products including a VPN, identity and financial protection, information monitoring, antivirus, and a robocall blocker – and more to come.
Hari Ravichandran will continue to lead as Aura’s CEO, where he’s delivered outstanding performance; and, I’ll serve as Chair of the Board representing my holding company WndrCo, along with Accel Managing Partner Sameer Gandhi, General Catalyst Managing Director Trevor Oelschig, and previous CEO of Intersections, Michael Stanfield.
This combined company helps us realize our shared vision, and well positions Aura to become this era’s all-in-one privacy and security leader. Most importantly it serves as a crucial milestone in our journey to make the internet a safer place, and deliver the future of consumer privacy and security to everyone.
*Sujay Jaswa was the most recent CEO of Pango and a Co-founder and Managing Partner of WndrCo. He will now serve as the Chairman of the Aura Board.
