Pango Partners with Hiya to Stop Annoying Robocalls, Globally

We are thrilled to announce that we’ve partnered with Hiya as our international robocall blocker to help protect our international customers from annoying and sometimes crippling robocalls.

Hiya is the world’s largest call protection provider — protecting over 120 million users across more than 40 countries and has an overall rating of 4.5 stars in app stores. It analyzes more than 13 billion calls per month to identify the latest spam numbers and block them from coming through to your phone.

If you’re like most people, you seldom answer your phone if you don’t recognize the number. That is because more than hundreds of billions of robocalls are placed each year — calls that offer misinformation on COVID-19 or a free (fake) vacation, ultimately attempting to scam you into paying them or getting you to hand over sensitive information like your social security number, bank account details, and credit card numbers.

According to Hiya, there has been a spike in coronavirus-themed phone scams over the past two months. In recent weeks, scams selling fake health insurance, home sanitation services and even products that claim to cure the virus have soared by 1,544% across the globe, with an increase of 174% per week.

At Pango, we were adamant that we needed to include the most reputable international trusted spam call blocker in our suite of privacy and security products, which is why we partnered with Hiya.

By adding Hiya as part of Pango’s subscription, you can put a stop to spam calls once and for all, globally — helping keep you and your family’s personal information safe.
